Installation

Business Gateways (BGs) can be pre-configured and ready for use when installed. In cases where it is possible to self-install a Business Internet service, easy to follow instructions are provided and support is available from a Sichuun Customer Service Representative. Alternatively, customers may request a White Glove Installation for an additional charge. Once it is determined that the installation can be done safely, a Sichuun Technician will bring everything to the place of business, complete the installation, and provide a demonstration of the service.

Installation

The safety of our customers and staff is our first priority. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sichuun may not be able to perform an installation at a place of business. ONTs can be pre-configured and ready for use when installed. In cases where it is possible to self-install an AE service, easy to follow instructions are provided and support is available from a Sichuun Customer Service Representative. Alternatively, customers may request a White Glove Installation for an additional charge. Once it is determined that the installation can be done safely, a Sichuun Technician will bring everything to the place of business, complete the installation, and provide a demonstration of the service.

Individual Lines

Customers subscribed to a Business Internet Access package may add one or more Business Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) lines. Each line may have its own 418-585-xxxx phone number, or a phone number from any other jurisdiction in Canada may be requested. Business VoIP telephone lines include unlimited incoming calls, outgoing calls and long distance anywhere in Canada. All Business VoIP lines are implemented as a priority service. Sichuun’s VoIP service can use any standard analog telephone sets. There is no specific limit to how many telephone sets can be connected. VoIP-specific telephone sets may also be purchased from Sichuun. Sichuun’s VoIP service can be used over traditional telephone wiring already at your place of business or plugged directly into the Telephone port on the Business Gateway (BG). If the telephone wiring in your building is aggregated at a demarcation point, a connection from the Telephone port on the BG to the demarcation point is often the simplest way to connect your building’s telephone wiring and telephone sets to the VoIP line. Customers may add or remove VoIP phone lines to their account at any time, but changes will not be active until the beginning of the next month.

Private Branch Exchange (PBX)

Sichuun offers custom VoIP solutions for businesses. If a hosted VoIP system is required, please speak to Sichuun Customer Service Representative about a Business VoIP package that meets your needs.

WiFi

Once a customer’s buildings are connected, WiFi access points allow users to connect to the network and roam freely from room to room without experiencing network interruptions. As users move through the building, their devices shift seamlessly from one access point to the next without dropping the connection. Sichuun can install, configure and manage WiFi access points in all of your buildings and yards, allowing employees, clients, and/or the general public to access your network and/or the Internet.

Security

The rise of dispersed networks, the trend towards more remote workforces, the growing number of connected equipment and devices, and generally speaking the much heavier use of the Internet and its huge range of resources, brings new security challenges with it. Sichuun can install, configure and manage a NextGen Firewall from Barracuda to provide robust protection and secure your network from advanced threats such as viruses, worms, Trojans, malware, ransomware and zero-day exploits.

IP Cameras

Looking for a modern approach to video surveillance? Sichuun can install, configure and manage a network of IP cameras with its state-of-the-art hardware-free cloud video surveillance solution. Surveillance footage is stored safely off-site in the cloud for up to 90 days. Access and manage your private cloud archive through web and mobile apps. Video Conferencing

Transparent Virtual LAN (TVLAN)

For multiple sites that all need to connect to the same network, Sichuun’s Transparent Virtual Local Access Network (TVLAN) service allows each site to share one large Active Ethernet (AE) connection. Each will have its own fibre connection, but TVLAN allows all users to access the same resources, applications and databases, as if they were sitting next to each other in the same building.

Device Monitoring

With its locally staffed Network Operation Center, Sichuun can monitor almost any type of powered device. Whether the device is network equipment, a server, or a sensor in a remote building, we can alert you of any change in status when it happens, and provide availability/utilization/performance reports on a weekly or monthly basis.

Asset Tracking

If you have a fleet of vehicles, equipment or machines, tracking where they are and what they are doing is critical information for maintaining efficient operations. Training

Sichuun can help identify knowledge / skill-set gaps and requirements and both develop and deliver effective and comprehensive training programs on any IT and/or communication related topics. On an as-required basis, Sichuun’s IT Support Services are $125/hr. An IT Technician will respond to your request within 48 hours. For larger organizations with more sophisticated requirements or requiring priority service, Sichuun offers retainer agreements with committed time for your business. Retainers are available in blocks of 10 hours per month at $100/hr. An IT Technician will respond to your request on the same day if the request is logged before noon, or before noon on the following day if the request is logged after noon.
